Freelance 2D animator, illustrator, and artist based in London.

My name is Katy Morari and I am a half Scottish and half Cypriot illustrator, animator, and artist based in London. I graduated from the University of South Wales in 2015 with a 1st Class Honours Degree in BA Animation. While at university I was twice nominated for "Best 2D Animation" at the university's annual animation awards.

 

After graduating from University I moved to Salisbury, England, got a regular job, and kept illustration and animation as my side hustle. In 2016 I decided that Salisbury wasn’t the place for me, so I moved up to Edinburgh in hopes to kick-start my creative career. From August 2017 to November 2018 I was working as a Marketing & Creative Coordinator at a specialist outdoor equipment company based in Edinburgh. In November 2018 I decided to leave that role to focus on my freelance business. 

While working freelance I took on a part time Marketing Assistant position at Findr, a photography start-up. I quickly got offered a full-time position with the company as Account Manager.

Since then, I have started a new creative adventure in London and have already completed an exciting animation project with Kapow Primary. This involved creating a 2D animated educational video that will be shown to students all across the UK as part of their Relationship and Sex Education curriculum. This project was very important to me as my Sex Education at school was absolutely awful.
